Delete Your Account & Data

The short version

You can permanently delete your ClariLung account and all your data at any time, directly in the app or on the web. You are signed out immediately and everything is erased in the same operation — there is no waiting period.

1. Delete from inside the app (recommended)

On iPhone, iPad, Android, or the web:

• Open ClariLung and sign in.
• Go to Settings → Danger zone → Delete account.
• Confirm with your password. Your account is deactivated, all your data is permanently deleted, and you are signed out immediately.

2. Or request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email ceo@duskfieldstudios.com from the address on your account and we'll process the deletion for you.

3. What gets deleted

Deletion permanently and irreversibly removes your account and all data associated with it, including:

• Your profile and login credentials
• Your quit plan, substance profile, and onboarding data
• Streak history and quit-date record
• All craving events, taper logs, and daily snapshots
• Journal entries (mood + text)
• AI Coach conversation history
• Health milestone records
• Quit-buddy connections and encouragement messages
• Push notification token
• Any active ClariLung subscription record (the subscription itself must be cancelled separately — see section 5)

4. Deletion timeline

Deletion is immediate and permanent. Your account becomes inaccessible the moment you confirm with your password and the API call returns — all the data listed above is gone in the same database transaction. There is no grace window and no way to recover the data after deletion.

We retain only the transactional records (subscription / payment history) we are legally required to keep for tax and audit purposes, per applicable accounting rules. We also retain audit log entries (IP addresses, timestamps, and event types — no message content) for 90 days for security purposes.

5. Important: cancel your subscription separately

Deleting your ClariLung account does not cancel a paid subscription, because subscriptions are billed by Apple, Google, or Stripe — not by us. Cancel the subscription separately so you aren't charged again:

• App Store (iPhone / iPad): Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → ClariLung Premium → Cancel Subscription.
• Google Play (Android): Google Play Store → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ClariLung Premium → Cancel.
• Web (Stripe): Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription, before you delete the account. Or email ceo@duskfieldstudios.com and we can handle both at once.
