ClariLung members can post in the community forum, where other members can read what they write. We respect the rights of authors and publishers, and we respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).

1. Designated agent

Send copyright notices to our designated agent:

U.S. Copyright Office DMCA designated-agent registration: DMCA-1082522.

For a quick report you can also open the ⋯ menu on any post or reply in the app, choose Report, and pick “Copyright”. A formal notice still needs the details below.

2. What a notice must include

1. Your physical or electronic signature (or that of someone authorised to act for the owner).
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
3. Identification of the post or reply you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it (for example, the text it starts with, the author’s display name, and when it was posted).
4. Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)).

3. What we do

When we receive a complete notice we remove or disable access to the material, and we tell the member who posted it, including a copy of the notice.

4. Counter-notice

If your post or reply was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send our agent a counter-notice with:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the removed material and where it appeared.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the U.S., any judicial district where Duskfield Studios LLC may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice.

We send the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice.

5. Repeat infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of members who are the subject of repeated valid infringement notices.

6. Post only what you have the right to share

Write your own words. Don’t paste articles, book passages, song lyrics or other people’s work into the forum. See section 10 of our Terms of Service.
