How ClariLung differs from the big quit apps.

QuitNow, Smoke Free, and QuitSure are good apps. They are older than us, they have far more users than us, and they are rated highly by those users. We are not going to pretend otherwise on a page you can fact-check in two taps.

There is one thing we do differently, and it is the reason ClariLung exists: those apps were built to help you quit smoking. ClariLung is built for the four things people actually quit — vaping, cigarettes, weed, and cigars — with a separate program for each.

Where they beat us

Track record

Smoke Free and QuitNow have been shipping for over a decade and have tens of thousands of ratings between them. ClariLung launched in 2026 and has barely any. If a long public history is what you want to trust, that is a fair reason to pick them.

Community size

A bigger user base means a busier forum and more people awake at 3am when you need someone. Ours is small and growing.

Published research

Smoke Free in particular leans on published cessation research and describes itself as “the app that science built”. We cite the evidence our health timeline is built on, but we have not run trials of our own.
